The approach
The architecture here is crisp and bright, with beamed white ceilings, black steel doors and wide oak floors, so the furnishings do the storytelling. We built each room around pieces with real presence: a colourful abstract canvas, a cognac leather sofa, a carved dark sideboard, and let white bouclé, pale oak and plenty of light keep everything easy.
Living and gathering
The living room is arranged for conversation, with white swivel chairs, a round oak coffee table and the leather sofa facing the art. In the kitchen, tall white oak cabinetry and a white island with woven black counter stools stay calm and practical, while the dining area brings in navy velvet chairs, a marble tulip table, a sculptural wire pendant and a bold red canvas.
Quiet, hard-working rooms
A built-in home office with oak drawers sits on a vintage rug; fluted oak doors conceal the laundry; and the bedrooms are layered with a navy upholstered bed, a landscape painting, a leather lounge chair and a woven pouf. The baths pair oak vanities and brass with graphic black-and-white tile, from a freestanding tub to a black powder-room vanity under globe pendants.
The transformation
Drag across each photo to compare the rooms as we found them with the finished design.

Kitchen
Dark granite and dated cabinetry gave way to warm white oak, a clean white island and sculptural woven counter stools.

Dining
An empty nook became a proper dining room: a marble tulip table, navy velvet chairs and a sculptural wire pendant.

Primary Bath
Olive-green cabinets and a tiled counter replaced by a double white oak vanity, brass sconces and graphic floor tile.

Home Office
A bare yellow bedroom reimagined as a bright workspace with built-in oak storage and a vintage rug.

Laundry
A basic hall closet transformed into a hidden laundry behind fluted white oak doors.
